Diigo v3 beta

The new Diigo is now available - if you already have a toolbar then
upgrade it to the new version - loads of extra features

  • The first thing you might notice is that regardless of what you set
up as a Diigo username, now your real name (or alias) shows up on your
    annotations.

  • There now seems to be more of a social element with friends
who see your bookmarks and whose bookmarks you can share.

  • With this social element there is now a messaging facility.

  • There is a dashboard page - showing recent activity, messages,
friends activities, there is also a wall to paste entries etc.

  • There is what appears to be an RSS reader for other Diigo
    annotations. My Watchlist

  • In terms of tools there are some great new innovations

    • There is a tool named this URL which allows you to

      • You can extract annotations effectively downloading
all the annotations that have been made on a page - this is really clever as it
allows us to timestamp the activity on a page and save it.

      • You can also cashe a version of the page complete with
        annotations.

      • You can also get an annotated link which you then paste into
        your own blog etc..

    • You can now interface more easily with other web2.0 applications
with a common login e.g. Facebook and Twitter

    • You can still send stuff to your blog.

    • You can mail stuff to friends - through the internal mail
      system

  • Check out the help pages

Give it a try
